HP Architects & Heritage Architects (HPA) was established in 2002 and provides a range of architectural services to produce functional and sustainable designs for residential and large-scale projects. HPA is a small office (by choice) with a horizontal organisational structure, resulting in opportunities for creative and innovative thinking and improved workflow.
HPA specialises in the field where building conservation intersects with large-scale corporate or commercial projects. Many commercial and institutional clients have been swayed to retain their built heritage through the preservation and restoration of existing building fabric. As a financial model it has proven many times over to be more affordable to restore & refurbish, as opposed to demolish & do new-build. Fully restored historic buildings and areas provide a character and ambiance often preferred by patrons.
HPA produces commercial, institutional and residential architecture that has an authentic relationship with its history, context and community, while ensuring that client's needs are being met. The result is buildings and spaces that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, durable and historically conscious.
